Terms & Conditions

Legal Disclaimer

As a freelance Qigong and Nature Connection Practitioner it is important to have clear guidelines for our interactions. The terms and conditions provided here are meant to establish a legal framework for this. However, please note that the information presented here is for general guidance only and should not be considered as a substitute for personalised legal advice. I strongly recommend seeking legal counsel to ensure that the terms and conditions align with your specific needs and circumstances.

Cancellation and Refunds Policy

If you purchase a ticket for an event in advance I will issue you a refund should you no longer wish to attend the event over 30 days before the event will take place. Within the 30 day period I will be happy to discuss other options on a case by case basis.

If I cancel a session or event do to illness and am not able offer an alternative date for the session or event then I will fully refund all participants.

Payment by Donation

When payment is by donation the emphasis is on the participant to pay what they can afford or what they deem the session is worth to them. I offer this option on a good will basis, so that no one is excluded from participation, not because I don't require the funds. All donations are very much appreciated, so please be generous where and when you are able, as I always intend to be with my time, energy and skill.

Weather Policy

My experience is that often the weather looks worse through the window than it is when you get outside. As the saying goes 'there's not bad weather just bad clothing', so for Nature Connection sessions it is only very high winds  that will lead to my cancelling or postponing a session or event because it is unsafe to go outside. For Qigong the situation is a little different as I don't have an outdoor shelter in the park where I teach, so if there is heavy rain I will either cancel the session or move the class online. In all cases I will endeavour to make and communicate a decision to change or postpone or cancel a session at least an hour before the start of the session.

Privacy Policy

I will collect only necessary data with consent from participants, e.g. emergency numbers, dietary information and any other relevant information. The particular data I collect will be dependent on the nature of a session or event. I will keep all your data safe in line with GDPR and delete any data when it is no longer relevant to those participating in my classes / sessions / events.

Participant Conditions

Qigong and Shirin yoku / Forest Bathing are both gentle forms of exercise requiring moderate fitness in woodland or natural environments. When engaged in some Forest School activities there may be a little more risk physical engagement, for example when using sharp tools on wood.

Participants are advised that we will be travelling a little distance from roads, sometimes up to 2 or 3 miles, over uneven ground. It is important therefore to arrive in appropriate footwear and clothing for the time of year.
Any mobility or health conditions must be disclosed in advance and I reserve the right to turn participants away if these have not been disclosed prior to a session or event and I assess the risk to be too great.

Behaviour

I will always endeavour to treat every participant in an equitable, respectful and kind manner at all times and ask that all participants do the same to me and their fellow participants. I also ask that the same respect is shown to all members of the public, should we encounter them, as well as all other being (animals, plants, fungi, etc) encountered through our time together.
